This architecturally elegant and spacious 10,000 sq. ft. Mexican colonial house was designed and built by Alan Wilkerson, San Miguel's foremost architect and completed in 2008. Among other amenities, the home features Pool, Jacuzzi and fire pit, beautiful colonnades, frescoes, pergolas, dramatic custom period lighting, spacious tropically landscaped gardens with beautiful fountains, mahogany windows and doors, and beautiful tiles. On a quiet level street, easy 10 minute walk to the main square ("Jardin") and close to Parque Juarez.

On entering the home into a dramatic large hall with corner cupboards filled with blue and white talavera and a beautiful round center table. The house is decorated exquisitely with fine custom made furniture and beautiful paintings, Mexican pottery and crafts. It has a warm, comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

There are four bedrooms total with king size beds, scrumptious linens, fireplaces, including two Master suites with en suite baths and very large and completely fitted-out dressing rooms on the second floor. One of the master suites is on the first floor.

Two of the master suites have a studios attached with large screen cable TV (plasma or LCD), DVR, custom bookshelves with storage and fireplaces. Master bathrooms have double sinks, magnifying mirrors, tubs and shower with private toilet and bidet.

The fourth bedroom is the attached casita with en suite bathroom with shower and separate sink area. Also, refrigerator, sink, cook top. The casita also has a dining table (seats 4) and separate lounge area with fireplace and desk. Bed can be made up as twins or a king. There is a private roof deck accessed by spiral staircase. The casita has cable TV.

There are two dramatic and stylish powder rooms--one off the pantry and the second off of the main hallway, adjoining the living room.

All bedrooms and studios have internet access via Ethernet cable. The casita and kitchen have wireless internet access as well. PBX telephone system with free Vonage calls to the US. Also, there is an intercom system.

The large living room has a large gas fireplace and comfortable seating. The dining room (seats 8) adjoins the living room to create a grand and dramatic space.

There is a very large, stunning and fully equipped kitchen with built-in cabinets. Dishwasher, double electric oven, full refrigerator, separate freezer with icemaker, gas five-burner cook top, microwave, fireplace. The house has nine fireplaces, eight gas and one wood burning in the outdoor living room.

There is a fully fitted-out butler's pantry with a bar area, with wet bar and refrigerator for wine and soft drink storage. Also, a separate laundry room with gas dryer and electric washer, and ironing room with table and chairs for staff.

The outdoor living room has a table that seats four, a wet bar and refrigerator with icemaker and plentiful storage for wine and liquor. The outdoor living room is a great party area with wood burning fireplace and can seat nineteen people.

The grounds are very spacious and lushly planted. The spacious front courtyard has a large 12 foot high "tree of life"sculpture and fountain. In the rear garden, there is a large pool (16'x28'), a large Jacuzzi (8 feet in diameter) and a pergola with fire pit and ample seating. There is also a pool bath with sink and shower. There are four chaises and pool towels and the rear garden has a glass top table with four chairs.

There is a rear pergola, adjacent to the living room and dining room that has a stone top table with seating for 8 and a separate stone top buffet server.

The immense second floor roof garden has a beautiful fountain, seating and a market umbrella. It is beautifully planted. The top roof garden has ample seating, a fountain and a beautiful view of the main church. There is a top quality barbecue with infrared heating near the kitchen.
